Modular Board Computer

THALES TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS integrates secure systems for public transport and energy activities such as air navigation messages switching systems; and also integrated fare collection, train supervision and control, road toll collection, traffic and fleet management, public parking systems, telematics and geolocalisation solutions.

For one of its major multimodal and multi-operator ticketing projects dedicated to provide services for a whole country, THALES TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS entrusted the “Modular Board Computer” embedded application porting to the THEORIS experts.

This porting, managed under fixed price contract, allowed the application to take advantage of the brand new Windows CE 6.0 architecture, but it also gave the opportunity to stabilize and optimize the developments in progress.

The keys of success of this porting managed under very short time were:
