As part of a large scope European military simulation project, THEORIS worked on the performance optimisation of the component Computer Generated Forces or CGF.
In a situation of high budget constraint, our work was mainly focused on the component itself:
Definition, implementation and monitoring of CGF performance supervision plan;
Development, setting up and semi automation of performance indicators at integration stage;
Solving of identified issues (instant correcting or modelling) with an iterative incremental method (cost control);
Partial overhaul of ".Net Remoting" part, with the designers help;
Technological prospective studies: error reporting setting up, migration plan on Visual 2005/2008, 64bits porting study, hardware platform definition for projects to come.
